Galvanis ColoradoAn experienced professional in the fields of information technology and software engineering, Jean Galvanis is the Founder and Chairman of Spectrum IT, Inc., and currently serves the company as Senior Business Intelligence and Enterprise Architecture Strategy Consultant.

Jean Galvanis began his professional career as a Research Economist and Analyst for the International Monetary Fund. His responsibilities included preparing statistical analysis of international trade and economic aggregates for financial reviews such as International Financial Statistics. He also worked to implement a computer model of processing time series analysis.

Jean Galvanis joined PricewaterhouseCoopers’s in 1990 as a Management Consultant in the areas of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. His clients included prominent global businesses such as Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc.; Aetna Financial Services; Empire of America FSB; JPMorgan Chase and Co.; and AXA Equitable Financial Services, LLC. Managing a wide array of projects, his general responsibilities entailed contributing to the design and development of financial Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence projects. Jean Galvanis worked closely with clients’ staff, offering development coaching and technical oversight. The work environment required the application of technology such as Oracle, Informatica, SAP BusinessObjects, CA ERwin and PeopleSoft CRM.

Jean took his current position as Practice Lead for Enterprise Architecture & Strategy with Spectrum IT in 2001. Since that time, he has served clients such as Advertising.com/AOL Inc., Kaiser Permanente, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Highly experienced in his field, Jean Galvanis holds diverse technical capabilities and numerous professional certifications.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Statistics from the University of Bangui and a Master of Arts in Economics and Quantitative Analysis from Western Illinois University.  His formal training also includes a post graduate degree in Software Engineering from George Washington University and doctorate coursework in information technology (Decision, Risk, and Operation) from Columbia Business School.
